ALL STATE CHOIRS INFORMATION

The All State Choir auditions are fast approaching! Sponsored by the New Jersey Music Education Association (NJMEA), these audition-only groups (an SATB mixed choir and an SSAA choir) are wonderful opportunities for strong 9th through 11th grade singers who are interested in a more rigorous and challenging choir experience, while performing with other talented students from sponsoring schools from the state of New Jersey.  The inexperienced or struggling singer may find the choir audition difficult to master.

Please be sure to take into consideration the time commitment for students who are accepted.  When deciding whether or not a student should audition, please take note of the sample schedule along with some additional information is provided below.

THE ALL STATE CHOIR WILL BE USING MP3 SUBMISSIONS FOR AUDITIONS!  PLEASE BE SURE TO READ ALL DOCUMENTS!  ALL MP3S MUST BE RECORDED WITH NO EDITING OR EFFECTS

Students must apply online, and for CRESSKILL students submitting their online application and audio submissions to Mr. Von Glahn by no later than 5:00pm on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 (this is different from the All State site, which extended from Friday, March 22, 2024 to Friday, March 29.) Directors must approve mp3s.  Corrections may be done through directors until 5:00pm on Friday, April 5, 2024.  While applying students must print out a signature page. Cresskill students must hand in completed signature forms and application fees to Mr. Von Glahn no later than Tuesday, April 26, 2024 (this is now different than All State deadlines - a single check need to be processed through our business office.)  No late applications will be accepted.
